Kendal & Dent 87594

K&Dmvmt.jpeg

Kendal & Dent; The case is hallmarked for Birmingham, 1887 and the maker is K&D. The serial number is 87594, and is the same on movement, case and dustcover. I see no plate jewels, so I am assuming a 7 jewel count. The lever is a typical English right angle, and the escape wheel is Swiss in style and not the expected English pointed tooth type. The lack of a fusee is to me the interesting feature of this watch. On first look, this watch would appear to be just another ordinary fusee lever. The watch is in running condition.
